The housing project, which is located in Ruiru Town, off the Thika Super Highway, is largely aimed at low and middle-income people.
A real estate firm Finsco Africa and property developer Heri Homes has
partnered to
build 384 apartments in Ruiru as part of its mixed-use
development project dubbed Legacy Ridges.
The
housing project, which is located in Ruiru Town, off the Thika Super Highway,
is largely aimed at low and middle-income people.
The
apartments will be available in two-bedroom units for Sh3.5 million and
three-bedroom units for Sh4.3 million.
Legacy Ridges Chairman Kimani Kimotho
said that the new
project fulfills our pledge to provide affordable housing to Kenyans
and the
residences are ideally positioned, making them perfect for Kenyans who plan to
go to the city on a regular basis.
The new expansion follows the company's February 2022
launch of a maisonette project on the same location, with three-bedroom homes
starting at Sh8.5 million and four-bedroom units starting at Sh9.7 million.
The company says it chose to sell the homes off-plan
(before the property is finished and only the plans are available for
inspection) because it allows clients to customize their homes to their needs
and offers them more flexible payment arrangements.
So far, 90 units have been sold, with the remaining
units expected to be sold in the coming months.
Legacy Ridges is planned to be finished within the
next two years.
The project will be completed in phases and will have
2,800 units, including two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as maisonettes
with servant quarters, lounges, dining areas, parking, and kitchens.
"In response to the government's efforts to
promote affordable housing, we are focused on real estate solutions that are in
line with customer satisfaction that will deliver practical solutions like
having stable families and community, which starts with every homestead owning
a home," said John Mwaura, CEO Finsco Africa.
